BHP joins Sumer

Yorkshire firm BHP has agreed a landmark deal to join the Sumer Group. BHP brings some 420 people and 5 offices across Sheffield, Leeds, York, Cleckheaton and Chesterfield into Sumer.

The deal also underscores Sumer’s rapid rise as a major new force in the mid-market. It has now integrated 41 firms across the UK, and has more than 65 offices and over 3,000 people working for it. Some 15 deals were agreed in 2025 alone.

Warren Mead, Chief Executive Officer of Sumer, said: “This is a standout moment for Sumer and a brilliant way to finish the year. BHP is a powerhouse in Yorkshire with a long track record of helping businesses thrive. Their culture, ambition and commitment to quality make them an exceptional fit for us.”
