Is there such a thing as a ‘safe’ ACCA exam venue?

ACCA has said that June exams will take place where it is deemed ‘safe’ to do so (29 March notice).

Many tutors and students have contacted us to ask why the ACCA appears to be ‘dithering’, when other accountancy bodies have made the decision to cancel their June exams already.

As one tutor said; “I now have students who will be self-isolating for 12 weeks and therefore will miss the June exams.”

Another tutor suggested ACCA’s expertise lay in double entry bookkeeping rather than decisions on medical issues.

But, let’s have one PQ have the last say: “I am an employee of an NHS Trust, part home schooling mum, and currently studying for a June 2020 sitting. The not knowing whether this exam will go ahead is an unnecessary added stress. ACCA please just make a decision!”
