The CGMA Finance Leadership Program is now available to CIMA students in England, Scotland and Wale, as a new and alternative pathway to completing CIMA’s CGMA professional qualification.
CIMA says the CGMA FLP teaches the same competences as other routes to the CIMA professional qualification, using the same material. It also stresses that students must demonstrate the same level of competency and experience to earn the CGMA designation and CIMA membership.
There will be two subscription options for the Finance Leadership program, called Skills Plus and Skills Premium. The Association has partnered with Kaplan, who will provide Skills Premium subscribers with expert-led live online classes for competencies and Case Study preparation, as well as a tutor who can be contacted to give further help on difficult topics.
CIMA’s UK & Ireland Regional Vice President, Paul Turner, said:“The world is changing, and the CGMA Finance Leadership Program has been launched to meet the growing demand for self-paced e-learning in the UK. Whilst traditional learning and examinations in test centres still have their place, it is right in the digital age that we offer alternative pathways to learn, understand and apply finance skills and knowledge.”
