It seems that motivational platitudes are everywhere, but do they really help?
It an intriguing piece in the latest issue Steven Nash rightly points out that we all need ‘desirable difficulties’ and ‘productive struggle’ to build our knowledge and resilience.
We need to stop pretending accountancy exams are easier than they are, and Nash wants to help self-studiers. But you will never hear him say ‘well done you showed up!’
