Everyone’s journey in accountancy is different, and someone that emphases this more than most is Chandan Sharma.
He admits at first, he ran away from accountancy because it looked too hard and a bit boring!
After university and a degree in project management he somehow ended up working for his dad’s accountancy practice, and everything changed!
After getting ACCA qualified and a stint in the city, he finally opened his own firm in late 2025, independent of his father – and from there it’s been nothing but up!
Sharma is an IFA practising member and recent winner of the IFA’s Emerging Professional Award.
