ACCA qualification redefined

ACCA has today launched a redesign of the ACCA qualification, which will be introduced in mid-2027.

ACCA’s CEO, Helen Brand, said accountancy is being redefined and the changes will equip the next generation of ACCA’s for this exciting new future.

With 30 minutes to go before the official ACCA unveiling at 12.00 (GMT) students had very definite ideas of what they wanted to see happen! They didn’t want fees to rise, for one.

Many asked for the results to arrive into their in boxes quicker. “Please release results within two weeks,” said one PQ. The same trainee wanted all past papers to be published again!

Other key demands were:

Increase the length of the strategic exams to increase to 4 hours.

Reduce the number of exemptions available to university students.

Exam dates to change, so they don’t clash with month end.

Make all papers on-demand, or have increased sittings.
