Advanced exams run smoothly

ICAEW November Advanced level sitters who booked up for remote exams were told two weeks before the exam if they wanted to guarantee smooth running the needed to switch to exam halls.

The exam team had been working hard to fix the problems experienced by July sitters, but they were not able to completely resolve the software lagging for exams sat by remote invigilation.

ICAEW’s Hazel Garvey told PQ magazine: “We are pleased to confirm that the vast majority of exams, both in centre and remotely ran as expected. Thanks to those students who made the last-minute switch to exam centres, which enabled us to fully support those remotely invigilated students who were unable to move.

“We continue to work hard behind the scenes to fully resolve the technical issues experienced by some students in the remotely invigilated exams earlier in the year, as well as make improvements to our end-to-end processes.”
