Seven in 10 accountants have concerns about how AI algorithms are used in the hiring process, according to the ACCA’s latest Global Talent Trends Survey.
Yet, organisations are increasingly using AI in their hiring activities, while candidates themselves are using AI chatbots to support with their job applications.
ACCA’s Global Head of Skills, Jamie Lyon, said the big question to ask is: “Is anyone truly winning in the AI-led finance job-hunting race right now?”
And, he was worried the changes are “leading to a surge in the volume of applications and growing complexity in recruitment systems, at a time when young people in particular are facing a tough job market.”
