CIMA’s new OT pass rates have landed

CIMA’s P2 objective test is still ‘the one to pass’, as the new stats show a pass rate of 46%. This is despite a year-on-year rise in the overall pass rate of two percentage points.

It was a similar story for F2, which also saw a two percent jump, over the previous year – rising from 47% to 49%.

However, these are still the only OT papers with pass rates below 50%.

CIMA publishes the CGMA objective tests once a year, and the latest stats cover the exams sat between 1 November 2024 to 30 November 2025.

And, while F2 saw a jump in its pass rate, the rates for F1 and F3 both slipped two percentage points to 76% and 56% respectively.

The good news is all the P paper pass rates were up or held steady, when compared to the previous year’s figures. P1 rose one percentage point to 54% and the P3 pass rate was the same as 2023/24, at 63%.

Stephen Flatman, Vice President – Examinations, Management Accounting at CIMA (pictured), told PQ magazine: “Our students’ performance in the Objective Tests remains strong, reflecting their hard work and commitment over the past twelve months. They have made significant progress towards becoming CGMA-qualified, and I congratulate them on their achievements and positive attitude.

“I also want to acknowledge that some students did not get the results they hoped for this time. This does not define your potential or future success, and I encourage you to keep going, even when the going gets tough.

“At CIMA, we are here to help you stay resilient and succeed on your chosen career path.
