Crowe UK LLP has been fined £144,000 over its failure to comply with the regulatory framework for auditing while working on the Aseana Properties Ltd audit.
The accountancy watchdog found failures in the reviewed audit which it said were ‘unsatisfactory’ and in fact felt that overall, it was a poor-quality audit.
The FRC’s Enforcement Committee also identified other areas of concern in respect of the assessment of fraud and EQCR oversight.
