Deloitte looking to lose 175 audit roles

Deloitte UK is planning to shed up to 175 of its auditors through voluntary redundancies, because of low attrition rates and stagnant revenues.

According to Bloomberg among those affected will be managers and assistant managers across the business.

“The firm is offering voluntary redundancy packages to a number of staffers in a response to low levels of staff attrition in its audit practice,” a spokesperson for Deloitte said in an emailed statement.

For Y25 Deloitte UK reported a 1% decrease in annual revenue – the first drop in revenue for 15 years.

However, the Big 4 firm is not the first to announce redundancies. In the Spring KPMG said it was looking to cut 600 roles.
