New allegations have surfaced about another Deloitte report using AI-made citations, this time in Canada.
The accusation, from Canadian news outlet The Independent, comes just weeks after a similar misuse of AI by Deloitte was reported in Australia.
A major health workforce report prepared for the government of Newfoundland and Labrador seems to rely on inaccurate and even non-existent academic citations.
A Deloitte spokesperson told the Independent: “Deloitte Canada firmly stands behind the recommendations put forward in our report.” It also revealed that revisions were being made to the report to make a small number of citation corrections, which it said do not impact the report findings.
