Grant Thornton offers market-leading salary and more…

Grant Thornton UK has revealed it will be offering its new starters a salary of £40,000 in London.

This is much higher than the Big 4 firms, who currently offer their graduates salaries of between £30,000 and £36,000.

The new salary is part of a programme that offers a defined pathway from trainee to partner, not just to qualification.

Grant Thornton is offering increased client exposure, international secondments and a dedicated partner sponsor throughout their time at the firm.

Grant Thornton said the programme consists of two elements, ‘Ascent’ providing support during qualification and ‘Summit’ providing ongoing support post-qualification to partner.
Designed to foster both professional growth and a strong sense of community, the programme provides a clearer line of sight to future leadership and long-term success in the firm.

Abigall Fisher, chief people officer at Grant Thornton, explained: “We want everyone to see a genuine path to partnership, backed by real investment in getting them there, including business development training at every level of the firm.”

The first cohort will join the new programme in September 2027.
