The need for more dynamism in audit reform does not only come from the demand side, according to Krisk Bhaskar and Rod Sellers in their new book.
In ‘Reflections on the Case for Audit Reform’ they say there are persistent signals that auditing is no longer seen as an attractive career. They explain: “We have auditors (both senior and junior) choosing to pursue careers in other parts of the accountancy profession because they offer greater personal development opportunities with less personal risk.”
