The ‘Rebel Accountant’, AKA Andy Oury, took to the road recently for a special one-off event, blending rap music with tax education, with the aim of showing tax doesn’t have to be…taxing!
Attendees experienced a mixture of live performance, myth-busting and commentary on how SMEs can better manage their financial position.
Oury, who is owner partner of legal and accounting firm Oury Clark, said:“The Rebel Accountant project is really about making tax accessible and cutting through the myths that surround it for entrepreneurs and SMEs who would rather spend their time building businesses than decoding legislation.
“For many business owners, the system is complicated and the language around it can feel inaccessible. If we want people to engage with tax properly, we need to explain it in a way that is clear and digestible.”
