What ACCA students want

With 30 minutes to go before the official ACCA unveiling of its new ā€˜redefined’ qualification, students had very definite ideas of what they wanted to see happen! They didn’t want fees to rise, for one.

Many asked for the results to arrive into their inboxes quicker. ā€œPlease release results within two weeks,ā€ said one PQ. The same trainee wanted all past papers to be published again!

Other key demands were:

Increase the length of the strategic exams to 4 hours.

Reduce the number of exemptions available to university students.

Exam dates to change, so they don’t clash with month end.

Make all papers on-demand, or have increased sittings.

Some tutors and students were surprised that the launch didn’t reveal more. As James Wright said: ā€œIs it just me or did anyone else come away with more questions than answers.ā€ One student said: ā€œLol 10K people waited for nothing… what was the purpose of the live stream?ā€
