Zack Polanski’s ‘unintentional mistake’

Green Party leader Zack Polanski has admitted he may not have been paying the right amount of council tax!

The British tabloids have certainly been having a field day, after an investigation by Dan Neidle’s Tax Policy Associates (TPA) discovered Polanski and his partner had been living on a boat in Lee Valley Marina for three years, and were registered to vote at a nearly bungalow.

TPA said if this was his main residence then he and his partner should have paid council tax there – but they didn’t! If, as was first claimed by Polaski’s team, he only stayed at the boat ‘occasionally’ – then by registering to vote at the bungalow he may have committed a criminal offence.

A Green Party spokesperson has cleared it all up: “Until recently, Zack was living on a houseboat, which came with its own unique practical circumstances and considerations. He has immediately taken steps to pay any council tax he may be found to owe. Zack apologies sincerely for the unintentional mistake.”
