ACCA statement on Monday’s ‘tech issues’ at the December exams, and mask wearing

PQ magazine contacted the ACCA over problems experienced by some PQs sitting their December exams on Monday. We also had student’s contact us over concerns over the wearing of masks in the exam hall. Here’s their response:

“We’re very sorry that some students faced issues this week. We worked to fix any issues on the day, but a small number of students were unfortunately unable to sit their exam. Where possible, the opportunity to take a remotely-invigilated exam will be offered as an alternative.”

In relation to face masks: “We ask all students to wear masks during their exams, but we are aware that this is not possible for all students and we allow medical exemptions. All our venues follow social distancing and Covid-secure protocols.”
