Bulgaria’s tax agency hacked

Cyber-security experts believe most adults in Bulgaria (there are 7 million of them) have had their data compromised by hackers.

Bulgaria authorities have now arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of involvement in an attack on Bulgaria tax agency. Among the stolen data were people’s names, addresses, and details of their personal income.

It is being clam that the attack may be in retaliation for the country’s purchase of 8 US F-16 fighter jets for $1.62bn.
