CIMA May Case Study results

The CIMA May exam results saw the Strategic Case Study pass rates slip back to 53%. This is the worse set of results since February 2024, when the pass rate was just 50%.

The Management Case Study pass rate was also down on previous sittings. It was 60% this time around, and just a year ago it was 66%.

The good news came in the form of the Operational Case Study pass rate. It was a healthy 70% in May.

Stephen Flatman, Vice President, Examinations – Management Accounting (pictured), told PQ magazine: “Congratulations to everyone who passed their Case Study exams – you’re one step closer to earning the CGMA designation and becoming a CIMA member. This is a fantastic achievement, and you should be proud.

“For those who didn’t quite get the result they hoped for, don’t be discouraged. Take some time to reflect on what went wrong and identify the steps you need to take to succeed next time.

“We’re here to support you every step of the way. There’s a wide range of exam preparation materials available, such as the Examiner’s Report and the exam blueprints, to help you understand what’s expected, how to improve, and cross the finish line. You can also reach out to our team for additional guidance and support or check out our ‘Revitalise Guides‘ – we have one for the Self-Tailored pathway and one for FLP – so whichever route you’re taking, we’ve got you covered.

“Stay focused and keep going — you can get there.”
