London is the most exposed city in the developed world to the looming jobs bloodbath, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
In a new report the OECD says the capital has the highest proportion of roles under threat from generative AI, and some four in five jobs will be at risk “now or in the near future”.
The reason for London to stand out, above New York, San Francisco, Paris and Berlin, is because of the high proportion of jobs in finance, professional services and the creative industry.
When looking at countries as a whole the UK also came second in the list of those most exposed to the new technology. Number one was Luxemburg.
