Update on July ICAEW Advanced Level Case Study exam

Unfortunately, during the Case Study exam today, ICAEW encountered an issue with server capacity. Although its supplier had upscaled the server capacity to its maximum level, due to an underlying issue, the capacity was still was insufficient.

ICAEW told students: “Some students’ exams were paused and we tried to restart at 1:30pm. However, we were unable to restart exams for some students. We do have the exam answers up to the point before the pause.

“We are aware that asking students to wait until the next Case Study exam sitting in November is too long, so we are investigating how we can fully and fairly assess all students affected in the next few weeks to ensure students’ keep on your career path. We will contact affected students in the next few days with more details and options.

“Please accept our sincere apologies for any stress and inconvenience caused by issue.”

There were also some glitches with the SBM exam yesterday.

PQ magazine will keep you updated on how the ICAEW plans to ‘make things better’.
