KPMG chairman ‘stepping aside’

KPMG have confirmed that UK chairman Bill Michael has ‘stepped aside’, be it temporarily, while an investigation takes place into the comments he made at a virtual meeting.

On top of telling staff to ‘stop moaning’, the chairman reportedly revealed he was still holding client meeting over a coffee despite lockdown, and said unconscious bias was “complete crap”.

Bina Mehta will take over the role as interim UK chairman.
