EY to double consultancy team

Big 4 firm EY has revealed plans to double the size of its UK and Ireland consultancy practice over the next four years, with the help of a £75 million investment.

That means headcount will rise from 5,100 to around 10,200 by 2026. The promise is that more than half of these new roles will be based outside London, in cities including Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Birmingham.

EY said the expansion is being fuelled by increasing demand from clients implementing large scale, strategic transformation programmes, enabled by tech, data and people.

New recruits will reinforce the firm’s existing strengths in finance, risk, supply chain, change management, cultural transformation, and strategy, and boost skills in areas including: SAP, Microsoft, ServiceNow, cloud, data analytics, and cyber.
