Never too young

Teenage Carlissa Daniels is being hailed as the world’s youngest qualified accountant at just 19.

After her GCSEs (10 A*) she opted to take an accounting apprenticeship before passing all 13 of her ACCA professional exams in just two years.

She is already a head of finance, at garment decoration firm, J&A (international) Limited, where she manages four people. She took up the role in July 2021.

She was recently interviewed by ACCA and she the biggest drive to get her through the exams was “my passion and keenness to reach the end result”. He advice to other students is “don’t give up”. She went on: “The exams are tough and the preparation takes a lot of time and commitment, but it’s definitely worth it in the end.”
